RIZAL PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked away on Anthony Drive, Rizal Park offers a surprisingly thoughtful blend of recreation and remembrance. The centrepiece - a striking 5-metre statue of Jose Rizal - commands respect, while families gravitate toward the children's playground and open fields dotted with native gardens. The undercover barbecue area proves popular for birthday parties, though you'll want to arrive early to secure a spot. New toilet facilities are a welcome addition, and parking is mercifully abundant. The memorial walk provides a peaceful circuit through the grounds, but the park's modest size means it can feel crowded on weekends. While some visitors grumble about the shortage of rubbish bins and call for more covered areas, this compact space delivers a decent mix of amenities for a quick family outing.
